What is Orientation?

Orienation will give new students a head start on the college experience. It is a comprehensive opportunity designed specifically for the first-time freshman, to provide information to ease the transition into college life and introduce the college’s goals, mission, policies, admission requirements, and programs of study. Orientation is scheduled over the course of two days and will allow students and their parents the opportunity to stay in our residence halls overnight.

Why do Parents need to come?

There are special sessions designed just for parents. These sessions are specifically designed to address questions and concerns that parents have about admissions, academics, housing, financial aid, fees, expenses, student life, athletics, student health, insurance, etc. The overnight stay will afford parents the opportunity to capture the safe and orderly environment and campus life that students experience at Coahoma Community College.
