CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College’s Fit for Life Healthy Campus Initiative has announced two new exciting programs designed to promote healthy eating and physical fitness among CCC students, faculty and staff.
Made possible with a grant provided by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation, CCC’s Fit for Life initiative was constructed to foster a campus culture of health and wellness while simultaneously enhancing the quality of life for students and employees through promotional health activities.
The first program, “Quiet Hour” is designed specifically for CCC employees.
Scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. (Monday-Friday) through April 29, the program gives CCC faculty and staff exclusive use of gym equipment in CCC’s Fitness Center. Employees will also have access to a personal trainer and the opportunity to participate in a free aerobic class.
“We encourage all employees to take advantage of this opportunity to release stress and enhance their quality of life by being more physically active,” said CCC Fit for Life Wellness Education and Activities Coordinator Selina Reid.
