CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College (CCC) has partnered with the Tri-County Workforce Alliance (TCWA) to make available a free ACT Workshop for Tigers and other students in Clarksdale and surrounding areas.
Designed for students who have never taken the ACT, as well as students who want to increase their scores, the workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 2, in the Whiteside Hall lecture room.
“This is a great opportunity to help students prepare for the college entrance examination and offer suggestions about re-taking the ACT at no cost to them,” said organizer Trina Cox, CCC’s coordinator of career services
The workshop will cover all sections of the test, including math/problem solving, science, English and reading comprehension.
Those in attendance will also receive practical tips regarding test-taking skills, confidence building, memory association and tips for preparing the day before the test. Refreshments will also be served.
“We’re excited to be able offer this service to our students as well as our local high school students, and we encourage all those interested to take advantage of this great opportunity,” said Cox.
Seating for the workshop is limited, so reserve your spot today!
