Enrollment Rally

MARKS- Recently, Coahoma Community College visited Quitman County; kicking off its 2018 Enrollment Rally series in Marks, MS.

Coahoma faculty and staff organized an eventful day; including registration opportunities, school supply giveaways, food, music and fun youth activities. The event was the first of six enrollment rallies scheduled to happen within CCC’s five-county service area. The ultimate goal of the rallies is to get future students to attend Coahoma Community College and inform the community of all the vocational and educational opportunities available at CCC.

According to Dr. Rolanda Brown, dean of Academic Affairs, these rallies are an opportunity to engage communities in a casual setting.

“We use these rallies to reconnect with the community and let them know that CCC is their community college,” said Brown. “We’re here to let people know that Coahoma Community College is here to meet their educational needs and that we have so much to offer. Students are attracted to Coahoma because we add that personal touch.”

All departments were in attendance to give attendees a varied look at CCC’s offerings. The CCC Athletic Department brought representatives to explain the successes of CCC Athletics and new initiatives.

“The purpose of these rallies are to recruit students,” said Interim Athletic Director Reggy Hankerson. “Our goal is to get students in, registered, and to give them the tools they need to have a successful academic career at Coahoma.”
