CLARKSDALE – The same journey but different paths of 10 Coahoma County women will be the topic of conversation during a book signing hosted at Coahoma Community College Thursday, March 23.

CCC Student Employment Coordinator Shanelle Frazier of Clarksdale, MS is among the women featured in the book entitled, “The Frazier Chronicles: Finding Peace After Pain.”

Officially released Jan. 15, the book explores the family and personal secrets of the Clarksdale-based Frazier family and how they’ve been able adapt to their environment, create a plan of survival and learn how to live and love again.

The booking signing, slated for 2:30 p.m. in the CCC’s Career Center (located on the second floor Zee A. Barron Student Union), is free and open to the general public.

Frazier said she is excited about her new journey as an author.

"I am very excited about this opportunity—it is a such a blessing!" she said.

According to Frazier, the book provided each of the women the opportunity to be open and honest about their struggles.

"The book is about 10 women sharing 10 stories in which they had to find peace after pain,” said Frazier. “I was hesitant about being transparent with the world, but then I thought about how selfish I was being.”

Copies of books will available for purchase for $15 during the event.
