CLARKSDALE – With just one-stop, current and prospective Tigers will be able to complete the necessary steps to attend Coahoma Community College during the Spring 2015 semester scheduled to kick-off Jan. 12.
CCC’s Office of Admissions has announced plans to host formal registration from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, and 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, in the Pinnacle. In the meantime, students can continue to apply and register online.
“Although students can register online, we’ll be here on-site on those two days if they need some assistance or don’t have access to the internet,” said CCC’s Director of Admissions Michael Houston. “As an added convenience for our students, they can come here on campus where we can assist them through the entire registration process.”
During the formal registration, current and new CCC students will be able to quickly complete registration by following step-by-step signs positioned over each station.
From applying for admission to purchasing a decal, student will also be able to handle business with various Coahoma Community College departments as representatives from CCC’s Department of Admissions, Business Office, Financial Aid Office, Educational Outreach and CCC Campus Police will be on-hand. In addition, advisors will also be on-site to assist students with schedules.
“We’re trying to make it as simple as possible so students won’t have to have a problem figuring out what to do next,” said Houston. “They can come in and get out quickly and conveniently. From there they only have to go to class.”
