CLARKSDALE – The Coahoma Community College chapter of the Coahoma Community Alumni Association recently presented scholarships to the 2015-2016 Mr and Miss. Coahoma Community College.

Mr. CCC-elect, Anfernee Morgan of Cleveland, MS, and Miss. CCC-elect, Kezia Walker of Clarksdale, MS, were presented the monetary scholarships Friday.

According to President Janice Snerling, it’s a tradition of the chapter to make the scholarship available to incoming CCC royalty following Spring Student Elections.

“As alumnus of this institution we are more than honored to have the opportunity to serve as members of the alumni association and be able to help contribute to the success of Mr. and Miss CCC as well as other students here on campus,” Snerling said.

Morgan is a sophomore Criminal Justice major and a member of CCC’s track and field team.

Walker is a sophomore Business Administration major and is a member CCC Choir and Women’s Ensemble.

Chapter members present for the presentation were (pictured, from left) Snerling; LeAndrew Presley, treasurer; and Chivas Davis, vice-president.
