The Coahoma Community College Division of Student Engagement is ready to extend warm greetings to #Coahoma21 as well as returning students with Week of Welcome (WOW) festivities. 

New students have the chance to become accustomed to the ‘Tiger Way’ with a wide range of activities, from games to leisure fun tailored to the interests of college students. A weeklong series of events, scheduled August 19-22, will give Tiger Nation students the boost they need to make their journey at Coahoma Community College a success.

 

Monday, August 19, 2019 | 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Gambrell  Student Affairs Multicomplex

Ice Cream Social—Meet & greet campus organizations.

 

7:30 p.m. | Marion Reid Gymnasium

Silent Party & Maroon Merge activities—During the Maroon Merge, several games will be conducted, including a hula hoop contest, a Spirit Battle, a Lip Sync Battle, and team building exercises from the “Minute to Win It” game show. A Freshman Rite of Passage will officially make freshmen members of the Tiger family.

  

Tuesday, August 20, 2019 | 7:30 p.m. | Zee A. Barron Student Union/Magnolia Room

Game Night—Board Games, Card Games and Video Games as well as a Paint Party complete with canvases, snacks and music will be the featured entertainment.

 

Wednesday, August 21, 2019 | 8:00 p.m. | Georgia Lewis Theater

Movie Night—A special screening of a new, highly anticipated movie accompanied by popcorn and other snacks is set as the entertainment.

 

Thursday, August 22, 2019 | 7:30 p.m. | James E. Miller Stadium

Tigerland Splash Zone—A Slip ‘n’ Slide, jousting ring and waterslide along with head-bobbing music closes out the festive Welcome Week.
