Coahoma’s Educational Talent Search has organized a few workshops specifically for its participants. The nationally funded program will host a boot camp to get current ETS students geared to take the American College Test. The camp will be held at the Safe House located on the Coahoma Community College campus from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on October 18, 2019. All students must be registered for the upcoming test, which is offered on October 26, 2019. This workshop will only accommodate 50 participants. The deadline for ETS students to sign up is October 4, 2019.

The program advises its participants to attend the Senior College Readiness workshop scheduled on October 16, 2019. It will take place at the Charles E. Reid Sponsored Programs Building on the CCC campus from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students will get prepared for their ETS graduation by completing the FAFSA for financial aid as well as college admission applications. Students will also work toward scoring well on the ACT.

To put finishing touches on the students, the Educational Talent Search program will hold a Leadership Conference at the CCC Safe House on October 23, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Marz Bishop, author of “The Fight in You,” will be the guest motivational speaker. Students will also be treated to a college tour. Door prizes and refreshments will also be distributed.
