CCC Health Science short-term programs are expecting to soon send off approximately 51 graduates into their respective career fields. The department will hold its graduation in the Pinnacle on Dec. 4, at 5:00 p.m.

Tony Brooks, Respiratory Care instructor and coordinator of the short-term programs in the Health Science department, says 250 guests are planning to be in attendance to help celebrate students who have successfully completed the 10-week EKG and Nursing Assistant programs as well as the 16-week Emergency Medical Technician program and the two-year Paramedic program.

The guest speaker will be Zach Scruggs, executive director of the Oxford, Mississippi-based non-profit Second Chance Mississippi, which sponsors most of CCC’s Nursing Assistant and EKG programs, along with I2S, Incentives to Success. Second Chance MS, the organization founded by the guest speaker’s father, Richard Scruggs, gathers funds toward adult education and vocational skill acquirement.
