CLARKSDALE Social media has become the No. 1 way to communicate with people across the globe. However, a “like”, share or comment can mean more than meets the eye.

That’s the subject renowned marketing strategist, social media consultant and motivational speaker Crystal Washington will explore during a visit to Coahoma Community College Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Sponsored by CCC’s Lyceum Committee, the event will be held at 10 a.m. in the Pinnacle.

Local schools, the campus and the community are invited to attend.

As the CEO of CWM Enterprises, Washington works with organizations that want to leverage technology to increase profits and productivity.

According to her website, Washington is known as the “technology translator.” She takes complex social media, app, and web topics, and makes them easy to understand and accessible for everyday people.

Washington’s clients comprise Fortune 500 companies including Google, Microsoft, and GE and as a sought-after keynote speaker, she has entertained and educated audiences in North America, Africa, and Europe.
