CLARKSDALE – Have you taken the pledge?

The Division of Enrollment and Student Services’ Career Services Center is on a mission, a 100 Pledge Mission, to get 100 Tigers to commit to the “No Texting While Driving” pledge.

C:\fakepath\Notexting2.jpgThe pledge urges Tigers to refrain from texting while driving by placing their phone out of reach so that they’re not tempted, turning off notifications so they won’t get distracted and designating a passenger to send text messages for them.

Administrators, faculty, staff, and students at Coahoma Community College can make a difference by signing the “No Texting While Driving” pledge,” said CCC Coordinator of Career Services and Placement Trina Cox. “Texting while driving has become the number one driving distraction for many people and we wanted to be sure that our campus is aware of the dangers and to keep their attention on the road, not on their cell phones or other mobile devices.”

Be sure to stop by the Career Center, located on the second floor of the Zee A. Barron Student Union or see any representative of CCC’s Student Government Association (SGA) to take the pledge today!

For questions or more information, contact Cox at (662) 621-4674 or (662) 621-4155.
