CLARKSDALE — Coahoma Community College will begin implementing its new “Fit for Life” programs this week on campus after its successful kickoff event held last week on campus alongside its partner Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.

Members of the local community leadership, alongside campus administration faculty and staff, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open CCC’s new half-mile fitness trail and introduce the campus brand new exercise equipment that was purchased for the school’s fitness center.

But now its time for the rubber to meet the road, as employees and students alike will have the opportunity to begin participating in fitness classes held on campus free of charge, and participate in the 60-day Fitness Challenge that will begin Sept. 8th.

Evening exercise classes (see full schedule below) will begin Mon-Wed (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) and Boot Camp and Power Launch classes will begin the following week (Sept. 8-11).

An extended schedule of fitness and boot camp classes will soon follow offering options for exercise and personal training throughout the day.

The “kick-off” schedule is as follows: All classes (except boot camp) will meet in the Fitness Center located in the Multi-complex building between Friends Hall and the Student Union.
