CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College students, alumni and community members are invited to come enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while taking part in engaging conversation during the first “Coffee with Entrepreneurs” series of the fall semester.

Sponsored by the Division of Enrollment and Student Services’ Career Services and Placement, the free event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 in the Career Center, located on the second floor of the Zee A. Barron Student Union. It will feature Staff Sergeant Michael Roby of the Mississippi Army National Guard.

According to organizer Trina Cox, CCC’s coordinator of career services and placement, Roby will present those in attendance with valuable information about military service and possible educational benefits all while networking over coffee.

“It’s a great opportunity to show our students in particular that a good education is essential for whatever career path they choose,” said Cox.

Coffee with Entrepreneurs is an on-going series designed to give CCC students the opportunity to connect with other students and community members.

Cox said the series will be hosted periodically  throughout the semester to help establish a stronger relationship between CCC and the community.

If you’re an entrepreneur who would like to participate, or for more information contact Cox at tcox@coahomacc.edu or (662) 621-4674.
