Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or equivalent education/experience.

Two or more years' experience in a high-performance outcomes-driven team, focused on student affairs in higher education, project or enrollment management, marketing/advertising communications and/or public relations. Master's degree in related field can substitute as two years' experience.


Strong leadership skills that can motivate cross-functional teams of people toward project outcomes.

Experience in organizing and leading multiple projects at once with different timelines, work teams, and modalities with outstanding problem solving skills and critical thinking.

Creative and innovative approach to project and communication plans using responsive marketing techniques.

Experience using and maintaining the Jenzabar system.

Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities.

Job Description:

The Strategic Enrollment Manager is a key role on the Strategic Enrollment Management team focused on developing and managing comprehensive projects for short-term and long-term enrollment strategies. The primary function of this position is to lead and execute projects that are designed to increase engagement and enrollment at Coahoma Community College. Responsibilities include developing and executing project plans identified as enrollment priorities, collaborating across the organization to implement, operationalize, and support enrollment initiatives in the context of strategic integrated planning. This position will have direct oversight of leading communication efforts with the marketing department to create and launch responsive messaging to varying constituent groups in print, digital, advertising, and social media as it relates to the recruitment of new students and the retention of current students.


Responsibilities include:

Lead, develop, and execute project plans for enrollment and recruitment initiatives.

Analyze and assess the effectiveness of enrollment, recruitment, and registration initiatives using quantitative and qualitative data and adapt projects accordingly. Present analytics to the enrollment/recruitment teams and the President.

Manage multiple projects at a time and balance priorities, timelines, and communication.

Direct targeted electronic, print, and text communications to a variety of different audiences. Leverage consumer psychology and targeted marketing to create persuasive communications to ultimately increase enrollment.

Use data analytics to assess effectiveness of message, modality, and timing and adjust communication plans accordingly.

Work closely with the Director of Communications to maintain a consistent college voice in all recruitment materials, social media presence, and advertising. Reinforce branding standards and college style in all materials.

Responsible for oversight of the enrollment System for the college. Serve as a functional analyst and liaison between SEM and IT.

Create and initiate CRM system workflows, communication plans, training materials, data queries, and reports. Operate through a technical framework for databases and smart logic pathways.

Provide leadership and training to CRM front-end users to effectively utilize and maximize the system. Provide ongoing CRM support to the campus community.

Work closely with the Outreach team to ensure prospective students are connected to front line service providers, campus tours, and responsive faculty and staff.

Collaborate with faculty or departments that want to create targeted messages through the CRM to ensure consistent voice and strategic flow with relation to all other communications.

Serve on college committees to collaborate and support college marketing, strategic enrollment management, recruiting, and public relations efforts.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Dean for Academic Affairs

This is an exempt position reporting directly to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
