Coahoma Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for a part-time position as Adjunct Instructor of Voice beginning Fall 2019-2020 academic year.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The qualified candidate will:

  1. Teach applied/individual voice classes to freshmen and sophomore students.
  2. Prepares students for student recitals and final jury examinations at the end of each semester.
  3. Provides a quality learning experience for all students in accordance with their needs and abilities while maintaining the basic integrity of the course’s standards and objectives.
  4. State clear objectives and criteria in the course syllabus; maintain an accurate grade book and attendance record.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience, qualifications and abilities including:

  • Masters degree in voice
  • Strong teaching experience in classical and musical theatre
  • Music performance skills and pedagogy

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates that are able to show evidence of good accompaniment skills (but not a requirement).
