Homecoming Banner

Past and current Tigers will keep the Coahoma spirit alive in spite of the pandemic with a hybrid virtual Homecoming. Although Homecoming 2020 will be an abbreviated version of our do, we strive to keep our spirit strong as we celebrate “Coahoma Forever.”

Schedule of Events

10:00am – 11:00am | CCC Main Campus

Us Tigers won’t let hard times rain on our parade.  This year, CCC will have an on-campus parade featuring on-campus clubs and organizations, as well as registered active alumni and Booster Club members.

In the festive spirit of our CCC Homecoming tradition, divisions, departments, clubs, and organizations vie for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place, and honorable mention by decorating their vehicles, floats, and walking groups to showcase their artistic interpretation of the homecoming theme.

Campus will be closed to the general public.  All of the College’s COVID-19 safety requirements will be observed and enforced.

* Only current students with current Student IDs may attend.

7:30pm | Virtual

Jump into Homecoming festivities with our uplifting and inspirational Virtual Gospelfest Concert with the renowned Coahoma Community College Choir. Other special guests and local artists are also scheduled to take center stage for the live-streamed evening.

This event will broadcast on our website and social media outlets.

“Coahoma Forever” Spirit Display

11:00 am | Campus Wide

This year, our Spirit Display will evolve into an area display. Divisions, departments, clubs, and organizations vie for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and honorable mention by decorating their designated lot on our main campus to showcase their artistic interpretation of the Homecoming theme,  “Forever Coahoma.”

This year’s theme pays tribute to the memory of Chadwick Boseman, star of the 2018 film “Black Panther” who recently passed. Celebrate with us as we echo the term “Coahoma Forever.”

*Lunch will be provided outside during this event

Campus will be closed to the general public.  All of the campus’s Covid-19 safety requirements will be observed and enforced.

* Only current students with current IDs may attend.

“Maroon Madness Silent Music Experience”

Campus Wide

This year the MME (Maroon Madness Experience) will be spread out across our entire campus to allow students to enjoy safely. Tigers will don wireless headphones, tune them to a music station of their liking, and have their own private party with a few friends of their choice.

It’s the new normal, Tiger style.

*Only current students with current IDs may attend.

Virtual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run”

The Coahoma Community College Foundation invites you or an organization to register and join us as we dedicate the building of an infrastructure to the awareness of African American women who lose their fight with breast cancer in the United States yearly.

All proceeds from the Walk will support the American Cancer Society. These programs provide ongoing community education, funding for mammograms for under or uninsured women, match breast cancer survivors with recently diagnosed women, provide support to women facing financial challenges during treatment, and more.

Participants will run or walk in any place they decide, then upload photos of themselves in pink and/or their smart device displaying completion of the 5K (3.1 miles) or his/her best distance.

“Ice Cream Social/Firework Display”

8:00 pm | Main Campus

Tigers will get a chance to cool down, before we heat up the sky with one of our most exciting events of the Homecoming season. Pack up your portable chair or blanket and choose a spot on campus to enjoy your favorite flavored ice cream treat and take in the scenery. Watch the Coahoma skyline transform into a dazzling lights display of more than 1,000 firework shells soaring up to 1,000 feet in the air while the sound of celebration can be heard from miles away.

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm | Virtual

Join us as we solidy our theme, “Coahoma Forever” and help support students by raising funds to supplement the financial needs of students at Coahoma Community College.  This CCC Foundation event will replace our usual “Presidential Gala.”

This event will be live-streamed from campus, everyone is invited to tune in and enjoy live entertainment, words of motivation, and inspiration from past and current Tigers and friends as we share in an evening of giving to our Dear Ole College Home.

This event will see who can be the biggest Giver. Gifts of $1 and beyond will be accepted. Let’s get classes, community organizations, alumni, businesses, and yes, faculty, staff, and students in the mindset of giving back to CCC.

The proceeds are used to assist students in completing their programs of   study in the Academic, Career-Technical and Health Sciences at CCC. The funds raised will also support efforts in retaining students until they successfully complete their course of study.

We are all excited that Coahoma sports are back, but we know that it won’t be quite the same because TIGER FAN ATTENDANCE is limited. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have the best of both worlds!

Become a Tiger Booster by purchasing a Tiger Fan Cutout! A TFC is an enlarged cardboard duplicate of you that will be placed in the stadium seating in case you don’t get to attend a game. The Tiger Football team on the field can then look up and feel your support.

For $60, you can upload a photo of your likeness to represent you this fall at our stadium.  Fans will be able to pick up their cutouts at the conclusion of the fall season. By taking part, you’re still able to support the Coahoma Athletics department and our student-athletes.
