Dr. Kishki Hall sees Coahoma Community College’s academic offerings as one of the institution’s greatest assets.

“The qualified and dedicated educators stand out as the greatest strength in my view. Coahoma Community College is equipped with educators who are always available and willing to meet the needs of their students, especially the nontraditional students,” said Hall, a public speaking instructor in CCC’s English and Foreign Language Department.

Hall joined CCC as an adjunct instructor in 2004 and later as a full-time instructor in 2010.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Mississippi Valley State University and a master’s degree in Mass Communication from Arkansas State University—both with an emphasis in Radio/TV Broadcasting. Hall received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University. She was recommended to the Mississippi Community College Leadership Academy (MCCLA) by former CCC President Dr. Vivian M. Presley and successfully completed the program in 2012.

Hall uses her work to inspire and encourage others.

“My mission is to please and impress God, while educating and preparing the youth to be productive citizens on the next level,” she said.

I am placed on this earth to make the best of the time given to me. Therefore, I must leave positive impacts by attempting to inspire everyone I encounter.”

This philosophy also transpires in the classroom where Hall uses her position to gives students word of wisdom in their everyday life, such as “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance! Ignorance is much more expensive”, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” and “Hard work truly pays off in the end.”

In addition to reading inspirational book and works on African American history, Hall enjoys traveling as a motivational speaker and gospel orator. She also enjoys listening to gospel music and spending quality time with her family.

Hall finds inspiration in Isaiah 54:17, ““No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
