Position Title: Dormitory Manager

Department: Student Engagement

Immediate Supervisor’s Title: Housing Director

Positions Supervised: Resident Assistants, Students

Term of Position: 12 Months

Position Description: (primary functions)
Manages the daily operations and logistics of campus residence halls and student residential
living; implements the policies and procedures of the institution

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Housing Director with the supervision of resident assistants for all of the campus
    residential facilities
  • Serves as a conflict mediator of student incidents
  • Supervises resident assistants and ensures that the institution’s housing policy is followed
  • Serves as the advisor of the dormitory council
  • Ensures that resident assistants effectively and efficiently serve the needs of all students residing in residential housing
  • Ensures that resident assistants follow the judicial process and protocol located in the student
    handbook
  • Ensures that resident assistants report infrastructure problems/concerns in a timely manner
  • Serves on the appropriate judicial council for student infractions
  • Works closely with the Director of Student Activities and the school nurse to provide activities and informational events
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Engagement
