A Message from the President

Coahoma Community College has a rich history, and as president, I benefit from a legacy of visionary leaders who preceded me. To uphold that heritage, during our 70th anniversary, we have engaged in strategic planning and master planning initiatives to launch Coahoma into the next 70 years with focused direction, strong programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and resources to best help our students and this community grow and prosper.

Our Strategic Plan zeroes in the college's attention on student success, workforce development, and civic engagement. These areas represent the three pillars that support our mission: to provide accessible, diverse, quality, equitable educational opportunities and support services that foster holistic growth in a student-centered learning environment.

We are committed to preparing students for college or university transfer and/or entering a skilled workforce. This is our charge. This is our mission.

The institution has risen from humble beginnings to prominence as one of the nation's premier comprehensive community colleges. How far can we go in the next seventy years? With the plans we have in place, the dedication and expertise of our faculty and staff, the commitment of our students, and the spirit of partnership and hard work in our community, Coahoma Community College’s future is as boundless and bright as the future of the resurging Mississippi Delta.
